I'm not going to trash-talk this dress too much because on a different shape it would be classy and adorable. On me, it wasn't right. This reminds me of the lace dress I wore in the same color that I thought would look so much better on a column shape. I'm hour glass shaped so it's painful to see those dresses stretched out on my body. The color was great, the dress was well-made, but my chances of loving this dress weren't helped by the fact I couldn't find my Spanx this morning. I felt self-conscious because the neckline kept falling to the sides. Wearing a nude colored bra helped, but I still had to keep closing those babies back up. The dress has pockets that I didn't know about so they either made it or destroyed it. They poofed at my stomach and looked better with my hands in them, but that's no realistic way to spend the day. :-) The draw strings were also super duper long, the bow was as long as my thigh! So, I didn't rate this very well because it sucked for me, but it is a great dress for anyone other than me.

My measurements in this dress are:
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 255
Chest: 46 (40 DD)
Waist: 40.75
Hips: 56.25
Thigh: 32.5

I am really in the middle on this dress. The skirt had a really fun flirty swing to it, but the pattern reminded me of my sweet old Grandma Suckow (who has long ago left us) but with the slight poof in the sleeves and the pattern... it was like I'd already seen the dress in many a home video.  Anyways, I try everything I get at least once, and I liked wearing it. Definitely not something I'd buy but it was comfortable, light weight, flowy... The thing I really didn't like, and normally I wouldn't notice so you know it's bad, is the seam down the front of the dress... all the way down the front of the dress. Jessica Howard fits me all weird because I just reviewed a dress in a 16 that had a lining and made it look hideous... and this dress is an 18W and was huge around my arms, and everywhere, and I really could have sized down with some Spanx and called it good, but I wasn't sure what to expect from my last experience with JH. I'm in between sizes, so that's always fun for experimenting.  The belt was ginormous for my waist line.

I would say if you had similar measurements to mine to definitely get the 16. The fabric has give and it was loose on me.

My measurements in this dress are:
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 255
Chest: 46 (40 DD)
Waist: 40.75

I would be buying this if it were not a size too big. It is a good price and it was comfortable, classy, and sexy.  However, it fit pretty loosely, so I don't know if it's from general wear or the fact I'm in between sizes, but if you have similar measurements to mine, get the 1x instead of the 2x for a better fit... but be sure to slap on a pair of Spanx. I wore this out to dinner for a division dinner from my husband's boat. I am going to wear it to my office and send it back, but I am glad I tried this, it was fun! As other reviews said, it doesn't come with the belt in the picture. I would love to own a wrap belt like that but I had a gray scarf I wore for Sub Ball one year (before I got that upper body confidence I've referred to ;-) ) that I tied around my waist and voila!  I was fresh out of the shower, no makeup, hair a mess, and only wearing the skirt/belt and shirt and my husband was like, "I'm going to tell you right now, I'm going to have a staring problem tonight."

Bear with me on the pics, I didn't get any beautiful views because it was dark when we left, so you get my living room/dog toys.

The scarf/belt is from Nordstrom's.
The white shirt is from Deb.

I can promise the back didn't look this heinous all night, I had halfway removed my Spanx before I was like CRAP. GOTTA TAKE MY BLOG PICS!

I loved everything about this dress but for one horrible thing that destroyed everything. This dress should not be labeled with a W because the lining was so incredibly tight that it bunched up on back and destroyed the entire look.  I can take the uncomfortableness while sitting in a tight lining, but this thing was super mega sewed into the zipper and it just grabbed on and bunched there. You know when you have a blemish and think everyone is going to notice and then no one notices? Well since I try to wear everything I get from GB at least once, I put this on thinking no one would really notice. Everyone noticed. It was embarassing to explain.

Now on to the good part. This dress reminds me of a Neapolitan ice cream sandwich... and i love ice cream sandwiches. I won't reorder in a different size, but if you are between sizes like I am, order the bigger one on this one strictly for the lining reasons. The outer part fit perfect and sizing up would have made this huge on me.  The dress would help pull it together on a bigger size. I loved this look... but that back is just a wreck. If that lining weren't there, I probably would have bought this. I normally am not a "shrug" person (I'm real proud of my arms) but this was super comfortable and I loved every part... but the back.

My measurements in this dress are:
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 255

Windy!!
I purposefully did not adjust the lining in this picture so you can see what kind of warzone I was dealing with all day. I was constantly adjusting... Gross.

I actually really didn't care for this skirt on the stock photo but when I saw other members posting themselves in this I had to try it! The only reason I wouldn't rate this skirt 5 stars is because I spent a good 15 minutes trying to figure out what shirts to match it with and that was just too much work for me. I'm great at matching patterned tops to bold bottoms, but I don't have many shirts that are work appropriate and one color.  It's stretchy so it does conform to your body. I really don't care much about my stomach and the busy pattern hid a lot of it so I didn't bother with the shapewear in this.  It looked super cute with my shirt tucked in but I chickened out at the last minute and left my shirts untucked.

The pink and white shirt are from Old Navy.
The shoes are from Deb.

This very comfortable maxi dress fit true to size. I wore it to some day-training for my office. I don't think I would have seen clients without dressing it up a bit more but for office-casual it was great. I wore a white jean jacket off and on with it depending on the temperature in the room but overall it was fine without a jacket. I paired it with some black flats and a white skinny belt. I would have actually preferred it be may 2-3" longer; it hardly touched my ankles at 5'5. It is way too expensive to consider buying for something I wouldn't wear often but it was super adorable!

You can find the belt at Old Navy (Size XXL pictured).

This is probably the cutest thing I have ever worn in the history of ever. erm. my life. This has been the cutest thing to grace my body since 1989. I ordered a 4X based on the size chart but it is literally AT LEAST two sizes too big, and I normally wear a 16/18 in a dress. I recloseted it all in a 2x instead and hope it is something I can buy because the price is great on it. I wore it Contra Dancing and I don't think it was just in my mind that the guys spun me extra in this dress just to see it flare. Because the dress was so big on me, I had to cross the straps in the back, which really only made it gape in the chest and back, but it was better than pulling my straps up all night. I wore it with flats since I was dancing but if I'm able to get this in a smaller size I'll be putting on some stilettos and strutting my stuff. My husband couldn't stop smiling and I got compliments all night long from men grabbing the skirt and saying how great it looked to ladies who literally couldn't stop looking. You just don't find styles like this just anywhere. If I'm not able to buy it through GB I will definitely be googling Hell Bunny for more styles to purchase!!  This might just beat out the Thread&Butter Adrian sweater I loved so much!

My measurements in this dress are:
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 255
Chest: 46 (40 DD)
Waist: 40.75
Hips: 56.25
Thigh: 32.5
Arm: 15
Pant Size: 18
Shirt Size: 1x
Dress Size in Photo: 4x/18

We went stopped by our Contra Dance hall to take some pics before hand but decided to swing to Waikiki beach super quick before the sun set to grab a few more!

You can see a little how the dress gapes in the back here because I crossed the straps.

This dress is not for my shape... and it's not really "me" with the length and the weight of it, I mean, the last thing a heavy woman wants to do is add more weight with her clothes, can I get an amen?! But really, does ANYONE like wearing heavy clothes? Well anyway, the lace overlay (that heavy part) were really beautiful on the dress and in the photos but as I said, the dress just wasn't my personality.  This reminds me of shy-girl, sweet, agreeable.. which I can be ;-) But I'm a little too loud-mouthed and anti-southern girl to make this really work! I have a high waist and the waist sits pretty low so the chest portion was pretty big on me. It was just a little too long. I really like knee length, mid thigh, or floor. That in-between makes me look stocky. I've also noticed I think I need to adjust my dress size to a 16 based on how these 18s have been fitting, so I have been adjusting that as I add new stuff to my closet. It was fun to wear for a day and back it goes. That's the fun of GB!

The necklace is from the Icing - Glitter Stone Flower Medallions Statement Necklace

Yes, yes, yes! This dress was so beautiful, yet simple. It made me look wonderful and accentuated my body in all the right ways. I was honored to wear this to my scholarship ceremony this morning at the Bowfin Memorial at Pearl Harbor and the fabric was light enough where I didn't feel loaded with fabric, and the sleeveless aspect was perfect for the weather. I am contemplating buying this because it is so cute, it is just slightly too long since it goes right below my knees when pulled down all the way. I loved this dress!

I am really debating buying this! It is SO CUTE!! It fits me like a glove and it is perfectly modest. I find a lot of tops to be low cut and this didn't give me any worries about slipups up top or bottom, and I didn't feel like a grandma to boot.   I felt beautiful in this and it was totally slimming. It was really shapeless without the belt tied around, so you definitely want to put SOMETHING there, if you opt to not wear the belt included.  I got a lot of compliments on this dress today! My only complaint are the arms are SLIGHTLY too big, but I guess we can't have it all, can we? :-)

The necklace is from Hot Topic.

Kiyonna Whimsy Wrap Dress In Magenta

Feliz Cinco de Mayo!!  Buena Suerte!!

I wore this today in honor of Cinco de Mayo, good timing! I only got a wrap item once before and it was a shirt and a major disaster, so I didn't have high hopes for this but actually really liked it when I put it on!  The sleeves are actually a bit puffy which I wasn't pleased with because the dress overall could have easily been sized down one size... which would have fixed the puffy sleeves. The wrap is tied as tight as it will go and I didn't wear spanx, but I totally would if I got one size down since it's figure hugging. The dress wraps around enough so you aren't showing anyone any goods when you sit down.  I wore a tank under it because it was really low cut. I got lots of compliments on this today!

My measurements in this dress are:
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 253
Chest: 45.5
Waist: 40.5
Hips: 54.75
Thigh: 32
Arm: 13.75

BB Dakota Edmond Sweater Dress

You can find this dress here: BB Dakota Edmond Sweater Dress

I was really looking forward to getting this sweater dress and I wish I lived somewhere cooler so I could really rock this with some leggings. This is actually a little baggy on me and I might reorder in the winter (it doesn't really get cold here, after all...) if it's still available in a size smaller. I could have paired it with a belt to make it look a little tighter but it was already a little short on me and that's my fear with a smaller size, that it will hike up more!  It was very comfortable but pretty heavy, so this dress would be awesome and a 100% buy if I didn't live in paradise! I thought the eyelets would be a little bigger though, you could hardly tell they were there!

My measurements in this dress are:
Height: 5'5"
Weight: 253

Waist: 40.5
Hips: 54.75
